Cancellation + No Show Policy
Grit + Polish never double-books appointments, and customers can expect they won’t need to wait more than 5 minutes for a scheduled appointment. While we expect customers will reciprocate by showing up on time, too often we find ourselves turning away customers at times when we are fully booked, only to have late cancellations and no-shows. The problem is most severe on weekends and for parties of two or more. For that reason, we are now requiring a credit card number to book appointments under these circumstances:
- Parties of 2 or more requesting appointments together on Friday or Saturday
- First-time clients requesting appointments on Friday and Saturday whose appointment value is greater than $50.00
- New clients requesting an appointment with Master Nail Technician
- Any client who missed their previous appointment
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours will incur a fee of 50% of the full-service value, and cancellations made with less than 3 hours will be charged the full value of the service. Late arrivers will be charged the full value as well even if the service must be downgraded due to lack of time. Discretion will be applied in truly exceptional situations when sufficient notification is not possible.
